Habanos S.A will launch three new formats that will accompany the Fundadores size in the success of this brand. Likewise, and as a symbol of great acceptance, it is presented with a new image more appropriate to its extraordinary quality.
The new 3 formats and names are:
- Reyes
(40 ring gauge,
110 mm in the length)
- Coloniales
(44 ring gauge,
132 mm in the length)
- Robuso Extra
(50 ring gauge,
155 in the length)
The complete range of sizes will be presented in the market in varnished wooden boxes of 12 and 24 units. Reyes and Coloniales will be available in 5-unit carton packs and Robusto Extra in 3-unit carton packs.
The Fundadores size (40 ring gauge, 192 mm in the length) remains in the range of sizes of the brand, but now in varnished wooden boxes of 12 and 24 units and 5-unit carton packs. The complete range of sizes respects the traditional blend of the brand.
The presentation of these new formats and image will take place in London and will be organized by Habanos S.A official distributor for English market (Hunter and Frankau) on November 10, 2003.
After this presentation, these formats will be distributed gradually to the rest of the world during the first quarter of 2004.

New Resolution by the Cuban Customs
Habanos S.A. and the General Customs of the Republic of Cuba join efforts in the struggle against forgeries.
The new Resolution No. 41-2003, issued by the General Division of Cuban Customs, reinforces the regulations for taking rolled cigars out of Cuba.
From October 8, all Cuban or foreign travelers, at the departure from Cuba, are obliged to declare orally to Customs if they are carrying any rolled cigars. According to this new Resolution, all travelers are obliged to present the copy of the original purchasing invoice issued by the shops authorized, provided that they are carrying in their luggage more than 23 units of rolled cigars.
The rolled cigars must be in their original packaging with all official labelling, including the new holographic seal.
The non-fulfilment of these requirements will imply confiscation of the goods by the National Customs of the Republic |

The Robusto Vitola (124 mm de largo x cepo 50) is one of the best accepted and successful sizes among all the Habanos.
This new case contains 5 Robustos of the most well known Habanos brands: Cohiba, Montecristo, Romeo y Julieta, Partagás y Hoyo de Monterrey. As a novelty, Romeo y Julieta and Montecristo brands are presented here in Robusto size which doesn’t belong to their usual size ranges.
